This was the first book I had ever illustrated. It was quite the challenge, as its story took place in England during the 18^th century; I had to do a detailed research about the clothes, objects and vessels people used during that time. I even watched some movies in the hope to find some inspiration. I chose the acrylic painting technique on canvas because it was a literature classic, so I wanted the painting to be reminiscent of other classic paintings, but with a youthful approach. This book had already been reprinted 15 times since it was published.
