Once upon a time there was a boy who loved animals and he wanted to live very close to all of them. This boy wasn’t able to make his wish become reality, until the moment he had a big idea…

I wrote this poem because I do love animals as well and sometimes, I think about how hard it might be to live in a cage and many times far from their natural habitat.

To illustrate, I used a mixed technique: acrylic, soft pastels and some collages on paper. This book was published in Portuguese by the publisher Roda&Cia and in Spanish by the publisher Panamericana from Colombia (title: “Tan lejos, tan cerca de los animals”).
